One rainy Monday afternoon, we headed down to the unlikely centre of a nail art revolution - Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre - for the Nailympics, the nail industry’s most hotly contested competition. The world’s top nail technicians travelled from all over the globe to compete for 10 trophies and 96 medals, in one almighty nail-off. Using everything from gels, wraps and polishes, to dried flowers, glitter, rhinestones, 3D stickers and crushed shells, we saw spikey talons, double dip two-tone manicures and intricate patterns galore. Unsurprisingly, a sporting themed prevailed, with many artists paying homage to London landmarks, athletics and even Wenlock and Mandeville!
