Nail art moves to the next level

The gasps were audible backstage at the Thierry Mugler show in Paris as design duo H+H unveiled their precious metal nail art.

“The nails managed to stun the whole team” explained Marian Newman, renowned manicurist who was working at the show. “No one had ever seen anything like them before.”

And neither have we. Created by jeweller Hannah Warner and make-up artist Holly Silius, the rhodium nails are created from miniature casts of thorns, thistles and coral – so although they’re cutting edge, they take their cues from nature.

A beautiful – if not extreme - fusing of nail art, sculpture and the avant garde, what’s not to love?

Prices start at £40 for one nail, and between £250-£500 for a whole set. hollly-hannah.com
