Cate Blanchett reveals her beauty essentials

She may be an award-winning actress and international superstar, but when it comes to her beauty regime, Cate Blanchett is just like us.

The 47-year-old Australian has revealed that she opts for simple and easy to use products that require little thought or maintenance.

Speaking to The Telegraph, she said she uses a Kevyn Aucoin mascara because she's lazy and likes that it stays put, and that she uses a Suqqu eyebrow pen because, "it is easy to get right, even for me!"

Blanchett, who won the Oscar for Best Actress in 2014 for her role in Blue Jasmine, also named a number of other products as beauty essentials.

"I also love By Terry’s kohl pencil as it’s waterproof and luscious to use," she said. "For my hair, Philip Kingsley’s One More Day Dry Shampoo is my dedicated travelling buddy. It’s essential after a long-haul flight."

And when it comes to skincare, she turns to high-end brand SK-II.

"In terms of my skincare routine, SK-II is my go-to brand; the Facial Treatment Oil is perfect for those super-dehydrated days. It nourishes and calms your skin."

Blanchett also lifted the lid on her one fail safe beauty tip that she always shares with her friends.

"Always make time for a face and body massage. It’s the best beauty tip I’ve learnt over the years and the one I continually tell my friends. It relieves the day-to-day stress we carry in our faces and bodies."
