Inspired by Paris at night, Estée Lauder’s creative make-up director Tom Pecheux has created two new glamorous nail polish collections for autumn/winter 2012: Beyond Black and Metal Mania.

Citing the City of Lights as his most favourite city in the world, Pecheux aimed to “capture the intensity and naughty side of Paris when it truly comes alive… at night!” And the ten new nail shades certainly deliver on that aim.

While the five smouldering Beyond Black nail colours would not out of place in a femme fatale’s boudoir – we particularly love the aptly named Viper, a sumptuous gold to green lacquer – the Metal Mania collection is all about glittering metallic finishes, which are perfect for the tricky transition from summer to autumn.

As if we needed any more convincing, Estée Lauder has produced a sweet little film (watch it below) to introduce the new collections, where Pecheux and brand spokesmodel Constance Jablonski wander the city of Paris like a pair of star-crossed lovers, visiting the landmarks that inspired the Beyond Black and Metal Mania collections, which are available to buy from Estée Lauder counters nationwide now or online at esteelauder.co.uk (RRP £14.50).
