With our busy lives it can sometimes be difficult to find the time and money to browse through seemingly endless beauty counters to find new products that we love.

But luckily for us, a huge number of brands offer complimentary services that aim to take the hassle out of shopping for beauty products. Most of these services are under the radar, so we've cracked open our little black books to hunt down all the best treatments, classes and samples that you can try before you buy.

From having your makeup done at Chanel to a luxurious facial with Liz Earle, this is the ultimate guide to complimentary beauty services in the UK.

Try before you buy

A number of beauty brands will let you try out samples of their products before you purchase them, meaning you can test them out at home without any pressure.

Clinique will give you a week's worth of foundation for free. Head to one of their counters to get expert advice on the right shade for your skin tone and take home seven days worth of samples.

No7's Match Made service uses new technology to find the right shade of foundation for your skin. A No7 advisor will use a unique scanner to work out which of their 17 shades will suit your skin and you can then take home as a sample to try out.

Kiehl's offer skincare consultations to help you figure out which products would work best for your skin type. You can also choose a selection of samples to take home and test for yourself.

Origins can provide a five day sample of any of their products; simply pick what you would like to try and ask an advisor for a sample.
