It's time to embrace hair tattoos

Commitment-phobes marvel at the hair tattoo; ink without the needles, new-look locks without the dye.

The silver and gold metallic appliques for straight hair are the genius new invention of Australian hair brand Scunci and have already won over Instagram's most famous hair chameleon Kylie Jenner.

The 18-year-old has been snapped wearing hers as a simple single strand of gold against her poker-straight, centre-parted do.

Expected to wing their way to a Claire's Accessories-type store near you soon, the tatts are most effective on darker hair. Sorry blondies, but you still have hair crayoning.

Scunci's hair tattoos are retailing for $4.99 (£3.22) in US stores Target and Ulta.
