Katy Perry is the new face of ghd

katyperryforghd.jpg

Katy Perry has been revealed as the face of ghd’s Iconic Eras of Style collection.

The California Girl has been known to experiment with the most outlandish beauty looks, from kooky multi-coloured wigs to full-on pin-up glamour, and the photographs from the ghd campaign reflect three further style transformations for the singer.

Shot by legendary photographer David LaChappelle (famed for his iconic celebrity portraits and starting his career with Andy Warhol), the images see Katy modelling hair styles inspired by three fashion eras– 50s glamour (a romantic set wave), 70s boho chic (loose and tumbling waves) and 80s new wave (tight bouncy curls), and posing in kitsch outfits against a surreal backdrop of rich, vibrant colours - a LaChapelle trademark.

If the shots leave you with a serious case of hair envy, ghd have released a limited edition set to help you recreate the looks, containing the new ghd Gold Classic styler and an exclusive get-the-look book with expert styling tips and advice.

Take a look at the shots from the campaign above and below. For more hair inspiration, take a look at our edit of the hottest hairstyles right now in The Stylist Hair 100.
