From Twi-hard teen idol to beauty campaign star - Kristen Stewart has just been announced as the face of Balenciaga's new fragrance.
With her penchant for edgy, up-and-coming designers and unpolished, but cool red carpet choices, Ms Stewart's style has only got better since those early Twilight days, and the fashion world has clearly taken note.
Balenciaga's Nicolas Ghesquière has picked Kristen as his new 'muse', replacing the quintessential French cool-girl, Charlotte Gainsbourg (the face of the Balenciaga Paris perfume). Kristen will be fronting the campaign for the label's newest fragrance, launching in Autumn 2012.
Says Nicolas Ghesquière, Creative Director of Balenciaga: "Kristen Stewart embodies the modernity of the new Balenciaga fragrance with her unique sensibility and intelligence...I’ve always wished to collaborate with her further, knowing that she shares the radical spirit of Balenciaga".
Kirsten says she's excited to work with the label “because it is incredibly bold and forceful, yet feminine and sexy”.
With an upcoming role in this year's Snow White and The Huntsman (we've seen the trailer, and predict big things), Kirsten seems set to leave her Twilight days behind her in 2012.
