This is the most popular nail polish shade on Pinterest

When Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web in 1989, who could have dreamed that so much of it would one day be taken up with pretty photos of fingernails? It’s true: delve into a certain corner of the internet, and you’ll find a near-limitless supply of glossy manicure pictures.

But while wacky nail art might be the most attention-grabbing, a classic rosy varnish is far and away the world’s favourite shade for our fingernails.

That’s according to the people at Pinterest, anyway. They recently revealed that the most popular nail shade on the photo-sharing site is Essie Nail Polish in Angora Cardi – a rich, dusky pink polish.
