Here at Stylist.co.uk, we're happy to admit that our weekly beauty routine stays pretty much the same from Monday through to Friday. A blob of tinted moisturiser and a slick of mascara, hastily applied on our commute into the office, are all we generally need to face the working day.
However, once the weekend rolls around, we find ourselves becoming a tad more experimental. Glitter eyeliner and red lipstick might make an appearance, while we finally have the time to try and tame our tresses with an at-home blow dry. Hell, we might even attempt a bit of nail art.
And we're not the only ones who put more thought into our beauty routines at the weekend. Amazon Prime Now has revealed to Stylist.co.uk that last minute deliveries of beauty products peak in the UK at 5pm on Saturday, aka prime time for getting ready for a night out on the town.
The research from Amazon Prime Now, which tracked last minute orders of beauty products in the UK, found that Saturday evening was the most popular time for purchasing products that could be delivered within one or two hours.
The most popular item bought over the weekend was Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish by Rita Ora, with other nail products including Sally Hansen Strengthening Nail Polish Remover and The Edge White Sanding Block making the bestseller list.
Saturday evenings also saw a surge in demand for dry shampoo, hair dryers and under eye concealer.
Unsurprisingly, sales of Westlab's Epsom Salt Resealable Stand Up Pouch surged at 6pm on Sundays, with the nation apparently preparing to wrap up the weekend with a soak in the bath.
Similarly, Monday mornings saw us reaching for the face wipes, with 8am being a popular time for last minute deliveries of Johnson’s Face Care moisturising wipes.
And we women aren't the only ones panic buying last minute beauty products at the weekend: the research also showed that, brilliantly, the Philips Nose Hair, Ear Hair and Eyebrow trimmer surges in popularity for men at 11pm on a Saturday night.
Roll on this weekend...
