With her candyfloss hair becoming a global trend, Nikki Minaj's quirky style has often dominated headlines. This week will be no exception, after the Super Bass singer debuted her Rapunzel inspired locks at the Women in Music ceremony in New York.

Wearing a simple mono-chrome gown by Versace for the event, the singer's new locks sat just above her waist and were accompanied by a heavy fringe.

Minaj attended the annual event honouring women in the music industry alongside other celebrities, including Taylor Swift and acclaimed US journalist Katie Couric. The singer was awarded with the 'Rising Star' gong, following a year where her album Pink Friday has over 1.5 million copies and was certified platinum in the United States.
