A hilarious new advert about a period starter kit has gone viral.

Created by HelloFlo, who produce period packs, the video is already on over 5 million views and is about a young girl who lies to her friends and her mother about getting her period because she wants to fit in.

However, mum soon discovers that her daughter is lying when she finds a sanitary towel with red nail varnish painted on. Of course, she realises that it's nail varnish but her daughter thinks she's convinced her mum.

What then happens is where the magic really lies. To punish her daughter for lying, she throws her a First Moon party (it's not a thing), to celebrate her first period.

Over the course of the party, the young girl is mortified by party games such as pin the pad on the period, a uterus piñata, a Vagician (geddit?) and her dad dressed in red popping out of a vagina cake (we guessed that's what he's doing, although it's not entirely clear).

There's also a bit where her granddad is bobbing for ovaries, which is comedy gold.

But enough of us talking about it, you really need to watch it for yourself.
