Rihanna's releasing a dazzling Fenty Beauty collection for Christmas - and you need to see it

Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line dropped two weeks ago, and the buzz has yet to simmer down.

From the glowing reviews, to its sell-out status, the fashion icon’s debut cosmetics line has set the beauty world alight.

And now the singer has revealed that her first Fenty Beauty launch was just the tip of the iceberg: she’s gearing up to drop another collection... just in time for Christmas.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday 21 September, the star shared a sneak peek of what’s to come.

Aptly named the Galaxy Collection, the Instagram video gives a preview of an eye shadow palette with that comes in a holographic case and features 14 different shades.

Another photo shows the entire set, including a makeup brush, liquid eyeliner, lipsticks, and the one thing that was missing from RiRi’s original Fenty Beauty launch.

While Fenty Beauty has universal appeal, a few people were irked that Rihanna didn’t include a range of diverse lip gloss shades.

But, ever the savvy businesswoman, it seems that she was just making us wait for this new holiday collection: say hello to pink, purple, peach and red glossy goodness.

Speaking at a launch party for Fenty Beauty on Friday (8 September), Rihanna said that diversity was her number one priority when developing the line. “It was really important to me,” she said. “In every product, I was like, there needs to be something for a dark-skinned girl. There needs to be something for a really pale girl. There needs to be someone in between.”

“There’s so many different shades,” Rihanna continued. “There’s red undertones, there’s green undertones, there’s blue undertones, there’s pink undertones, there’s yellow. You just never know, so you want people to appreciate the product and not feel like, ‘Oh, that’s cute, but it only looks good on her’.”

The Galaxy Collection for Holiday 2017 will be available to buy from Sephora and Harvey Nichols from Friday 13 October. A date considered to be unlucky for some, but not Rihanna – we predict another sell-out.
