Sunset Hair is the most eye-catching beauty trend for 2015

sunset hair.JPG

As one of the most beautiful phenomenons in the world, sunsets are replicated everywhere from photos to paintings and now... hair.

Believe it or not, vividly coloured pink, orange, purple and blue Sunset Hair is the latest hairstyle to go viral on Instagram, with women uploading snaps of their statement tresses in droves. From subtle hues to stand-out neon shades, this bold and beautiful trend carries on from the My Little Pony hair phenomenon, which saw everyone from Cara Delevingne to Georgia May Jagger dying their locks in pastel tones.

So how can you recreate this coveted trend yourself?

Sapphire Lewis, a Salon Manager at BLEACH, says the main colours you need are yellow, orange, pink, purple and blue. How you choose to mix the colours is up to you, with Lewis advising, "it could be a combination of these from deepest to lightest or something more simple like orange fading into purple."

The hair colour expert also recommends those wishing to go for a sunset look start with a light base, saying, "As always with these colours, a clean white blonde base is best for the colours to show and the colours must be well blended where they meet to get a good gradual fade from one colour into the next.

If this was going onto a head of fully bleached hair its nice to start with yellow on the roots, then bands of orange, pink and purple on the mid lengths and then blue on the ends. As it fades the paler, red based colours will fade first leaving the deeper, blue based colours which will last the longest."
