The source of good scents

thierry.jpg

When it comes to beauty, there are some rituals that are best left in the past: sipping chalk and iodine to maintain a blanched pallor in the 19th century, for example. Then there are the traditions that still make sense. Like refilling bottles. That’s why, in 1992, Thierry Mugler reinvented the principle of 18th-century perfume fountains with Source. Historically, leading perfume houses offered the service of refilling bottles, due to their quality craftsmanship. That’s why, instead of being throwaway, your perfume bottle should become a lifelong ornament. And, because smell is so evocative, every woman should have a signature scent.

The Source enabled Angel by Thierry Mugler to become one of the first refillable perfumes of modern times. Now, 21 years later, if you visit the Source fragrance fountain in store you will not only get your bottle of Angel or Alien refilled, but your bottle will be checked and the cap and pump replaced if necessary. It will also be cleaned, polished and returned to you as good as new. And that’s not all, by refilling your bottle you can enjoy savings of up to 42% versus the RRP of the refillable packaged bottles.

With its delicate blend of sweet red fruits, soft caramel, honey and chocolate, Angel is one of Mugler’s best-loved fragrances and is the perfect companion to Alien with its rich floral jasmine sambac notes.

Refilling your perfume bottle is a glamorous, pleasurable ritual and an ecological way of topping up your signature scent. Plus, until 29 September at participating Thierry Mugler fragrance counters, you can collect a complimentary empty 50ml Angel or 60ml Alien EDP refillable bottle to be filled in store. Since you’ll just pay for the refill, you’ll enjoy savings of up to 38%*. For Angel, you’ll pay £42.50 (RRP £65) and for Alien, £41 (RRP £67). And you’ll keep on saving each time you go back to the Source to refill your bottle.

*saving shown is based on the 2013 Recommended Retail Prices of the Source refill vs. the Recommended Retail Price of the equivalent refillable bottle.
