This season's hottest compacts

SMK4_pr18_holiday_product.jpg

We picked three of the season's must-have multi-use palettes in this week's Stylist. Here's five more well worth investing in, as ingenious additions to your handbag. On-the-go perfect cheeks, lips and eyes? Easy...

Estee Lauder Pure Color Five Colour Lip Palette in Extravagant, £34

This must have lip palette contains all you need for the on-trend perfect berry pout seen at Issa AND Sonia Rykiel. A strong lip is flawless, but does enhance imperfections so ensure you cover up every blotch or blemish with a touch of lightweight concealer.

Laura Mercier Fall Favourite Colour Clutch, £75

This compact clutch holds all you’ll need for the perfect party look, so you won’t need to transfer your entire make-up bag to your purse on a night out. We suggest wearing nudes and taupes during the day and adding the violets and lilacs for evening. We especially love the large, easy-to-see mirror.

Shiseido Holiday Palette, £46

As part of their Christmas collection, Shiseido have launched this fabulous palette. The ashy and beige eye shadows work perfectly paired against the inky blue liner, while the combination of pink and neutral blush are complimentary to every skin tone. For stockist information, call 0207-313 4774.

Guerlain Ombre Eclat 4 Shades, £37

Although a little pricey for just four shadows, we can assure you that Guerlain’s palettes never fail to amaze us. This season their compact has been dusted with a gold plated overcoat and the shadows have followed suit with tiny gold flecks and sheens.

Revlon Limited Edition Multi-Use Palette, spend £20 and get this palette free

Created by Gucci Westman and used throughout the AW10 shows in Paris, London and New York, this palette is a multi-use must and only out for a limited time, so don’t say we didn’t warn you. At Antonio Beradi, Gucci used the berry and red together to create a dark plum lip, the grey as a light wash over lids and the orange to perk up colourless cheeks. Mix and match to create different looks.
