Three party make-up ideas with an illustrated twist from Hattie Stewart

Want an evening look with impact? With a little help from illustrator Hattie Stewart, Illamasqua’s make-up director Clare Lille adds a twist to our three favourite night-time classics

Poison berry lips illustrated by Hattie Stewart

Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation, £12.99, Max Factor; Skin Base Lift Concealer, £18, and Glamore Lipstick in Vega, £19.50, both Illamasqua; Mechanical Lip Pencil in Sienna, £5.50, NYX

Anchor the face with bold maroon lips by filling with lip liner then applying a matching shade of matte lipstick on top for colour that will stay put all night.

Molten metal eyes illustrated by Hattie Stewart

Liquid Metal Palette in Enrapture, £34, Masquara in Raven, £18, and Radiance Veil, £32, all Illamasqua; Infinity+ Sparkle Eyeshadow in 401 Peach, £2.80, Kiko Cosmetics

This season the smoky eye is reimagined in metallic tones of warm copper and vintage brass, brushed freely on to the eye. Apply a dab of lip balm over the entire eyelid first to break up the powder pigment on top, creating a soft crackled effect.

Double winged liner illustrated by Hattie Stewart

Precision Gel Liner, £20, and Sheer Lipgloss in Exquisite, £17.50, both Illamasqua; Liner Brush, £20, RMK; Grandiose Mascara in Noir Mirifique, £24.50, Lancôme

Add interest to a classic slick of jet black liner on the upper lashline by running a parallel stripe along the bottom lashes. Stretch the line beyond the inner corner and out towards the brow bone leaving the waterline bare for a Sixties doe-eyed effect.
