While the plotlines of BBC2’s Pan Am may have needed a little work, we certainly couldn’t find fault with the show’s perfectly groomed team of flight attendants.

Now Virgin Atlantic looks set to instil the same level of care and attention in its immaculately dressed staff, with the launch of its first ever lipstick.

Upper Class Red is a vivid red lip colour that the airline has created in collaboration with bareMinerals to celebrate the redesign of its Upper Class cabins, which take to the skies this spring.

The glamorous scarlet colour boasts a moisture-rich formula (just the ticket for long-haul flights), while the blue-red shade ensures it suits all skin tones. It's now become part of the official Virgin Atlantic uniform and we'll be seeing flight attendants working the shade with their iconic red uniforms this spring.

Passengers will also be able to add some jet-set style to their in-flight outfits too (yes, even those old trackie bottoms) - Upper Class Red will be on sale exclusively at the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Spa at Heathrow, Gatwick and New York JFK, before it hits selected bareMinerals stockists later this year.

Find out how to get the perfect Virgin Atlantic Upper Class Red pout in the video below.
