No blow-dry needed: the best hair tutorials to style wet hair

Hair-Romance-Hairstyle-tutorials-for-wet-hair-the-low-twist-bun.jpg

We could talk about hair-washing routines for hours: better in the morning or at night, blow dry or leave it naturally - but when it comes down to it, all we want is to ensure we can step out of the shower and our hair will look amazing, without hours of blow drying, or waiting.

And in our mission to achieve that we've found the best hair tutorials you can style while your hair is still wet, but will dry into just as pretty a 'do.

It goes without saying that most of these tutorials are suitable for medium-length to longer hair, because those of you with short hair are lucky enough (or sensible enough) not to have to deal with the problems of waiting for your hair to dry!

Take a look at our favourite wet-to-set tutorials below:

Three low pin buns

Best for: short to long hair

There are two advantages to this style - one, that it helps your hair to dry more quickly, and two that it leave you with beautiful waves when it's set. Just comb your hair to the back of your head, part it into three, as if you were making a plait, and then twist into three buns and secure with bobby pins.

Crown braid

Crown

Best for: medium to long hair

This style takes just minutes to do, keeps wet hair out of your face, and leaves your hair wavy and bouncy once it's dry. What's not to like? Simply twist your hair into two 'ropes' and pin these up.

Quick blow dry for fringes

Best for: short to long hair

If you have a fringe, or face framing locks of hair around your face, these are the bits of your hair that you will spend the most time perfecting. But rather than spending ages getting your whole head dry, if you just dry and style the key areas, your whole look will come together as the rest of your hair dries, saving you time and energy.

Twisted ponytail

Best for: short to long hair

Another way to deal with those messy round-the-edge bits is to tie them out of the way, as this twisted half ponytail shows. But if you don't like the way the rest of your hair dries, this tutorial goes on to show you how to style it into a I-just-woke-up-like-this style messy bun, too.

Sock Bun

Best for: medium length to long hair

Probably the easiest of all the styles - a sock bun, using a sock with toes cut off, or a hair doughnut will keep your wet hair out of your face, and dry it into lovely curls if you can master the 'wrapping' method of curling your hair around itself.
