This little girl crashed a stranger’s wedding for a ridiculously cute reason

When we hear the phrase ‘wedding crashers’, we can’t help but picture Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson';s boarish and oafish antics in the 2005 film of the same name.

However Imgur user Scott Robertson has completely changed our opinion of wedding crashers everywhere with an outrageously adorable story about a little girl who boldly marched up to his bride-to-be during their big day.

“My wife and I got married last February and, during the photo shoot, this little girl and her mum happened to be walking by,” revealed Robertson, posting as ‘Skizzotrobzface’.

Robertson goes on to explain that the child was absolutely mesmerised by his wife – and not just because of her white gown, either.

Take a closer look at the book that the toddler is clutching in her hands:

You can guess what happened next: the little girl spotted Robertson’s wife and believed her to be the real-life incarnation of the fairy-tale princess from her favourite book.

Unsurprisingly, the pair hit it off immediately:

And, when the bride handed the child a flower from her bouquet, it positively made the little girl’s day/week/month/year.

Just check out the smile on her face:

It was a moment that nobody could have predicted, but, thankfully, photographer Stephanie Cristalli was on hand to snap the interaction.

The road had been muddy during the encounter, although Robertson added that his wife had been so charmed by the mini wedding crasher that she didn’t even notice.

“[Mud on the dress was] totally worth it for this moment,” he said.

At time of writing, the post had received 730,854 views and 983 comments since being shared on Imgur – and, after a brief scan of people’s responses, it seems as if almost everyone has been moved by the shots.

“The pure joy on that little girls face and the graciousness of your wife warm my heart,” wrote one.

Another added: “I just love the absolute wonder in the little girl’s eyes!”

And one more said: “I love that your wife held the girl in her little rain boots, right against her wedding gown! She's good people. Congrats.”
