20 white shirts under £100

Much like Scandal's Olivia Pope, we're suckers for a decent white shirt and just love the way it gives any outfit a sophisticated edge.

Alas, unlike Pope, we're not as adept at keeping ours pristine when drinking red wine (let's just say we have a good stain remover to hand).

But don't let the thought of ruining a delicate blouse put you off purchasing this style staple, as there's nothing better than a white shirt for the warmer months.

With this in mind, we've picked out the best on the high street. From short-sleeved and silk to over-sized and cotton, you can team any of these up with a midi pencil skirt, a jumpsuit or just a simple pair of jeans and you'll look ready for spring.
