Amal Alamuddin's wedding dress revealed

Amal Alamuddin's wedding dress has been revealed in a series of photographs following her marriage to George Clooney last weekend.

The 36-year-old human rights lawyer wore a custom-made off-the-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown, which had been hand-embroidered with pearls and diamanté and featured a large circular train. The bride accessorised her look with a floor-length veil.

As for her groom, he wore a Giorgio Armani tux, specially created for the actor by his favourite designer.

In an exclusive to People in the US and Hello! in the UK, the couple shared a behind-the-scenes look at their big day, with George saying that "marriage feels pretty damn great". The couple have also shared photos with the Italian edition of Vanity Fair, with the proceeds of the sales of the photos going to charity. A source said that "every photo saves a life", perhaps explaining the extensive coverage of the wedding.

The couple who were married in Venice at the Aman Canal Grande Hotel last week by his friend Walter Veltroni, the former mayor of Rome, are pictured together for the first time in their wedding outfits on the cover of the magazines. Their official wedding certificate has also just been released, confirming that the ceremony on Saturday 29th September was official - as there had been some speculation over when it would take place.

Pictures of the ceremony itself will feature in US Vogue, which have been sold for charity, although the magazine did share a behind-the-scenes picture of Amal's final fitting for her gown with Oscar de la Renta, which was shot by Annie Leibovitz.

That said, readers are treated to a look at some of the other photos from their big day, that includes George and Amal cutting the four-tiered cake, and pictures of guests such as Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour, Cindy Crawford and Bill Murray.

Details of the wedding are also included, such as at the end of the 30-minute ceremony, guests erupted into applause, and the couple's first dance was to the same song that George's parents danced to at their wedding - Cole Porter's Why Shouldn't I?

Baria Alamuddin, the mother of the bride, also talked about the day: "George and Amal radiated love all night"

She also gushed about how special it had been: " The wedding was so unbelievably special, it was legendary. The friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything will stay with me for the rest of my life."

Nick Clooney, George's father, was equally as pleased and of the couple he said: "George and Amal present us with ... belief that in this place and at this moment, love is alive and well."

As for Amal's father, according to US Weekly, during his speech, Ramzi Alamuddin said: "'Now it's time for grandchildren."

Other details have also emerged about the big day, that include guests being gifted iPods with music chosen by the bride and groom, and that the couple also wrote their own romantic vows, which they exchanged under an arch made from white roses.

Bill Murray revealed to Vanity Fair that the couple had requested not to receive wedding gifts. The actor, who starred with Clooney in Monuments Men also said, "they are two wonderful people and all of the people there were wonderful so I’m very happy for them."

According to reports, guests were then treated to champagne and canapes such as polenta with wild mushrooms and prosciutto with figs made by Frederico Salza before a five-course meal by Italian chef Riccardo De Pra.

The couple decided to marry in Italy because it is where they first met, after being introduced by a mutual friend at a charity event.
