The Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli has taken her first step into the world of designing, by launching her own lingerie line Under.me.

The collection takes a back-to-basic approach to underwear, with a range of separates in black, white and grey. Bar doesn’t forget about the boys either – creating a companion range of briefs and vest tops in the same colour palette.

She describes the line as, “premium yet affordable underwear that is simple, comfortable and stylish.” The pin-up certainly knows what makes a good pair of undies – having previously modelled for Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated. The promotional video to accompany the launch features Bar serving up an ace on the tennis court, while modelling the range.

The venture is set to echo the success of lingerie lines launched by fellow ‘Supers’ Elle Macpherson and Gisele Bundchen. Macpherson’s ‘Intimates’ brand, having launched back in 1990, is now generating an estimated $87million a year.

Hailing from Tel Aviv, Bar bagan her modelling career at only 8 months old and has since fronted campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Acessorize, as well as being the first Israeli woman to feature on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
