Boohoo is launching its own range of affordable wedding dresses

Weddings are expensive. In fact, we’d go so far as to say that they are eye-wateringly expensive – and planning one can wreak serious havoc on your wallet.

With couples expected to pay out for everything, from the venue to the booze, the average wedding can cost up to a (horrifying) £25,000, so it’s understandable that savvy brides are drawing up strict budgets and sticking to them, come hell or high water.

Which is why high street alternatives to designer bridal gowns are becoming increasingly popular.

From Topshop to ASOS, plenty of high street stores have already launched their own affordable (yet stylish) wedding collections.

But now online retailer Boohoo has jumped on the matrimonial bandwagon and upped the ante.
