Dresses with sleeves and full-length gowns; non-skimpy designs for the party season

People tend to equate party style with "less is more" but there are a litany of reasons why a woman might not want to go uber-skimpy for the festive season.

Some of us may not have shaved our legs for the past few weeks, as a kind of added layer of insulation for when the temperature plummets (just sayin'). Speaking of which, the cold weather is a turn-off for many when it comes to baring flesh (standing shivering in a strappy dress as you wait for the number 9 bus to come at 2am is hardly a rosy prospect). Others may simply be turned off by the idea of wearing something very revealing.

If conventional party dresses are your thing, good for you - you can shop them here - but if you fancy something with a bit of extra coverage, come peruse our pick of party dresses with long sleeves, full skirts or both. Enjoy and happy shopping!
