Christian Louboutin’s Cinderella slippers have finally been unveiled by Disney, and, sophisticated women that we are (ok, try to be), we couldn’t help but be reduced to gushing girls when we saw Louboutin’s final fairytale shoe design.

In a collaboration announced back in April, shoe designer Louboutin was invited by Disney to bring Cinderella’s iconic slippers to life to coincide with the worldwide release of Cinderella the Diamond Edition, out on Blu-ray this autumn.

Finally revealed during Haute Couture Paris fashion week this week, Louboutin’s Cinderella heels perfectly encapsulate the beauty and fantasy of Walt Disney’s legendary film. Featuring delicate white lace uppers embellished with twinkling crystals and two sparkling butterflies, Louboutin’s Cinderella slippers are imbued with just the right amount of Disney magic.

“Her character and her story dictated the design to me,” explained Louboutin in a release. “It was all there in the pages and the words of this tale. The slipper is the magic wand of transformation which conjures confidence, beauty and love.”

Unfortunately the Cinderella heels will not be available to buy, however, those wishing to indulge their princess fantasies should be at the ready, as a competition to win one of the twenty original slippers created for the collaboration will shortly be announced.
