The great Christmas jumper question

We want to get into the Christmas spirit without losing our sense of style, but is there anything more festive than a 1980s-style jumper with Rudolph and snowflakes?

Meanwhile, Selfridges London has launched The Sweater Shop in its Christmas Emporium and the high street is laden with novelty knitwear.

Here are ten of the best chic and ten of the best loud and proud Christmas jumpers to help you decide where you stand.
