The great Christmas jumper question

We want to get into the Christmas spirit without losing our sense of style, but is there anything more festive than a 1980s-style jumper with Rudolph and snowflakes?

Whichever way you go, Christmas is big news in the sweater world. This year, Save the Children has nominated Friday 13 December as Christmas Jumper Day and also collaborated with 14 British brands, including Alexander McQueen and Burberry, on festive-themed jumpers to auction this month. Meanwhile, Selfridges London has launched The Sweater Shop in its Christmas Emporium and the high street is laden with novelty knitwear.
