Couture secrets revealed

003.jpg

Here at Stylist we love new fashion books. So we couldn’t wait to open Couture in the 21st Century, a new coffee table tome exploring the secretive world of extremely high fashion

Inside twenty of the world’s biggest designers, from Louboutin to Lacroix discuss their definitions of couture, their influences and their visions for the future of fashion. There are insights from everyone from Thakoon and Matthew Williamson, Erdem and Elia Saab.

Each entry runs alongside a Rankin black-and-white profile shot, catwalk images and vintage pictures spanning the last century of couture design.

There’s even a potted history of the Houses of Christian Dior, Chanel, Lanvin, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain and Givenchy.

You’ll have the best dressed coffee table in town.

£40, on sale at harrods.com
