David's Bridal launches UK campaign featuring plus-size model

America's biggest bridal store is celebrating its expansion in Britain with a campaign featuring a plus-size model on her London wedding day.

David's Bridal has hired size 14 Australian model Mercy Watson to more accurately reflect the size of its customer base, according to Glamour.com.

The spring/summer 16 campaign uses the Houses of Parliament as a backdrop for the couple's city wedding. Mercy, dressed in a traditional white gown and long veil is seen posing with her husband on a city street with bright red phoneboxes and a red London bus in the background.

Dresses from the collection will be available from 29 December in-store and online, with some available in sizes zero to 26.

The retailer has stores in London's Westfield shopping centre, Watford and a new store opening on 18 December in Glasgow.
