With Christopher Kane and Peter Pilotto among its prize-winning alumni, the British Fashion Council's annual Fashion Forward award is a pretty big deal.
Upcoming designers awarded the prestigious fashion prize are given time with industry mentors and financial backing for two seasons.
This year's womenswear winners are Scottish designer Holly Fulton, 34, 28-year-old Dutch designer Michael van der Ham and David Koma, 25, from Georgia.

Fulton, who counts Kylie Minogue among her fans, said she was delighted by the recognition.
"It is an amazing boost for an emerging designer to have access to the business mentors and show support this offers and adds confidence to both the designer and the label to have this backing.”

British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush said: “David, Holly and Michael are three very worthy recipients of the 2013 Fashion Forward scheme. We look forward to seeing their collections at London Fashion Week in February.”
Now in its seventh year, previous recipients of the e-Bay sponsored award include Jonathan Saunders, Henry Holland, Roksanda Ilinic and Lou Dalton.
