Stylist's Executive Fashion Editor Kitty McGee, Shopping Editor Lucy Reber and Acting Fashion Director Sorrel Kinder have rounded up 15 key trends to invest in, following the SS15 shows at Fashion Month.
Prepare for a strong 70s influence to hit the high street soon, including calf-length flared trousers and plenty of luxe denim. Wave goodbye to heels, as flat shoes - in the form of chunky flatforms or summery gladiator sandal styles - are set to dominate collections.
Culottes, once again, will be hitting shops soon, with wide, loosely-tailored versions a huge favourite for spring/summer. Designers have also taken the unusual step of catering for chillier days, with soft summer leather, in pastels as well as glossy cherry reds, popping up throughout the collections.
Microtrends come in the form of sheer eveningwear, from the glamorous black trousers we saw at Tom Ford to soft pastel pants worn under tunics at Giorgio Armani. Accessories-wise, watch out for a fun 'back to school' theme, as seen at Anya Hindmarch and Versace.
Beautiful deconstructed dresses stood out at some of the big name shows, with pleats, layers and sporty detailing bringing an exciting new silhouette.
