Hillary Clinton models kickass pink shoes designed for her by Katy Perry

Hillary Clinton and Katy Perry are a two-woman band of feminist friendship, with the singer campaigning fiercely for Clinton during her presidential campaign last year.

And now the pair have truly reached peak #friendshipgoals, with Clinton snapped modelling a pair of shoes that Perry designed in her honour.

Dubbed ‘The Hillary’, the shoes in question are 3.5-inch suede heels in a pastel pink, featuring a clear heel filled with tiny moons and stars.

The design of her namesake shoes clearly thrilled the 69-year-old politician, who was photographed by Perry modelling a pair with glee.

The singer took to Instagram to share the snap with her 62 million followers, writing “POWER PUMP your way over to katyperrycollections.com… @HillaryClinton is wearing #TheHillary”.

“Omg I love her so much,” she added.

The shoes first went on sale back in February, when Perry released her first shoe collection named, appropriately, The Katy Perry Collection.

Speaking to People at the time, she said, “I chose some of my favourite girlfriends and my female family members and named all the shoes after them”.

“So they’re all getting their own shoe, I guess, so that’s really fun. I tried to pair the shoes that best represented their personality,” she added.

If you fancy – almost – stepping into Clinton’s shoes, you can buy your own pair of The Hillary heels for $139 (approximately £111) on katyperrycollections.com.

As the shoe description says, “Step in and reach for the stars”.
