“I finally feel brave about fashion”

If you’ve ever stood in front of a bulging wardrobe and thought ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’, you’re not alone. Many of us get stuck in a style rut and with a million other things to think about, it’s easy to let looking good take a back seat. That’s why, with the help of M&S, we’re launching our Welcome Back To You campaign, showing how real women can discover their full style potential.

This week, L’Oréal manager Aimee Fisher, 26, tells Stylist how M&S helped her realise her off-the-catwalk style potential.

I’ve always seen my style as modern but feminine (sometimes too feminine – I have been accused of dressing like a Disney princess!). But the older I get, the more I find myself in a style rut. I stick to classic shapes and visit the same shops over and over. I work in an office full of fashionforward women and I want to look good, but experimenting with your style can be a daunting prospect.

xx

Which is why my M&S style makeover was such a revelation. I got to try different silhouettes and see what works for my shape. I’ve always avoided trousers before but I’ve realised that experimenting is what makes fashion so much fun. I’m going on holiday to Sicily in a few weeks, and I feel like I can play with a whole new wardrobe, with nothing off limits. Although I don’t think I’ve totally left behind my Disney princess days…”
