Jennifer Aniston has arrived at this year’s Golden Globes wearing a classic black halterneck dress. The gown is comprised of sequins, with the form-fitting skirt featuring a daring split.
The actress is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for the film Cake - the story of a woman who suffers from chronic pain. After one of her group therapy friends commits suicide (Anna Kendrick), she strikes up an inappropriate relationship with her husband, played by Sam Worthington.
For the role, the Friends star had to completely transform her look and recently discussed how she put on weight for the part. She also wore little make-up and had prosthetic scars added to her face.
Jennifer will go up against four other actresses; Rosamund Pike for Gone Girl, Julianne Moore for Still Alice, Reese Witherspoon for Wild and Felicity Jones for her role in The Theory of Everything.
This isn’t the first time that the actress is up for a Golden Globe. Previously, she’s been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series and won a gong for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role as Rachel Green in Friends.
The star, who is engaged to fellow actor Justin Theroux, is set to present tonight as well, along with other actors such as Amy Adams, Lupita Nyong’o and Oprah Winfrey.
Hosting tonight’s event are Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who are set to be as hilarious as ever, particularly if last year’s monologue is anything to go by.
