A fashion student has been chosen to design a pair of royal blue heels for Kate Middleton.

Becka Hunt's cream lace on blue suede design was selected from six competition hopefuls by the Duchess of Cambridge on a visit to Leicester's De Montfort University last week.

The winning sketch (below) was inspired by Kate's sapphire engagement ring. The 20-year-old said she was "absolutely overwhelmed" by the triumph.
