In today's tricky economic climes, the importance of balancing creativity with commerciality becomes all the more profound.
Canadian designer Jean-Pierre Braganza, who cut his teeth working with Roland Mouret, effortlessly blended the two this season, cutting his signature modern tailoring in a moody autumnal colour palette and dense flannel wool. Spliced with firey chandelier prints and metallic jacquard, the collection cited regality as well as subverting tradition as reference points. These were clothes for the strongest of women - sophisticated, impactful and with an inherent edge. The combination was utterly covetable. And surely that's what it's all about?
