So it's good news for shoe lovers everywhere, as the footwear aficionado launches his first online European boutique, twenty years after he opened his original store on Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau in Paris.
With a keen idea of what Louboutin fans are after, christianlouboutin.com offers its shoppers a fast track option featuring the entire collection in one screen. Users can then zoom in on each shoe and use the 360 degree spin to admire the designs from every angle.
And the same level of expert attention is available online as in a luxury boutique, with a team of Louboutin connoisseurs on-hand for live chats and advice.
Stylist’s fashion director Alexandra Fullerton said, “Christian Louboutin’s iconic red-soled shoes are a most desired item for so many women and shopping in one of his plush boutiques is a real treat. Being able to shop online will echo this amazing experience and I can’t wait to fill my virtual basket.”
This virtual store sells the SS12 Men and Women’s Collections, the Women’s Classic Collection and launches the 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection. You can also be one (red-soled) foot ahead, and pre-order styles from the AW12 Collection.
Like the shoe designs themselves, the site still reflects Louboutin’s personality. Products are displayed against pictures from the designer’s travels, including a New York skyline and chickens from his own farm in France.
