Selfridges are renowned for their amazing pop-up shops and designer installations but it is the current McQ special installation on the 4th Floor of the London department store that is getting the Stylist office very excited.

Running until the 31 July in the Oxford Street store, not only is the pre- Autumn / Winter 2011 collection available to buy but there is also a display of one-off hand embellished McQ pieces to lust over.

The display is worth a visit alone: it showcases the best of the labels signature aesthetic such as graffiti print decor and mannequins embellished with safety pins and zips.

The best bit? If you spend over £750 or more on McQ in Selfridges throughout the month of July, you will be invited to attend a private appointment at the label’s Clerkenwell Studio to get one of your purchases customised with the McQ safety pins.

A very rare opportunity (and probably worth the £750 alone for the experience), you will get to meet one of McQ’s designers and be part of the design process. Be quick though, as it is only the first eight customers who will get to do this.

Race you there.
