Meet Baddie Winkle, the internet's coolest octogenarian.
At 87, the American great grandma is challenging our perceptions of growing old with her carefree Instagram account, which is filled with pictures of her enjoying fashion - and life -with a wry, badass attitude.
She has rapidly gained 1.3 million followers and counts Miley Cyrus, Nicole Richie and Drake among her fans.
The octogenarian, whose real name is Helen Van Winkle, is supported by her grandchildren, who set up her account and encouraged her to explore her "Baddie" alter ego.
It has catapulted Winkle, from Knoxville, Tennessee, to international fame and she was even invited to join Cyrus - her style protogee - at the VMAs at the weekend.
Winkle is taking her newfound celebrity status in her stride. She told Refinery 29: “I don’t like ‘old women’ clothes. I never wore them in my life.”
“I would love to be a role model for older people," she added. “You’re only here once in your lifetime, so have fun.”
