The stingray textured backdrop might have alluded to a potentially aquatic collection (at Chanel and Versace the underwater world were major influences for Spring/Summer) but instead Fendi's Autumn collection was definitely based on dry land.

Liquid leathers, chunky woollens and corded velvet looked luxurious and rich while there was a definite mood of tribal primitivism as the girls marched out onto the catwalk. Creative directors Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi took their bow at the end of the show.
