It's one of the most anticipated shows of the season. Prada decorated their cavernous concrete space with a purple Bauhaus-motif carpet and the audience was at fever pitch to see what would be presented.

The show started with a passage of black looks all embellished with giant crystals but there were graphic Seventies prints cut into sharp trouser suits and a proliferation of off-kilter proportions where mid-calf skirts were worn over cropped trousers and with long sleeveless coats.

Eclectic and surprising, when Mrs Prada took her bow, the audience wooped and cheered like she was a rock star.
