Ossie Clark, the label that defined 1960s and 1970s swinging London, is set to return with a collection under a new designer for Spring/Summer 2013.

Drawing inspiration from the Ossie Clark archives, the Ossie Clark London label with be available at Debenhams and feature a range of pieces inspired by the man himself, plus a limited run of unreleased vintage designs remastered for 2013.

Loved by sixties and seventies icons such as Marianne Faithfull, Bianca Jagger, Twiggy, and Liza Minnelli, Ossie’s signature dresses, with their statement prints, flared sleeves, and feminine silhouette have certainly inspired the new designer Nicolas Georgiou's first collection. But this will be a more accessible and affordable take on Ossie’s designs, with original sketches of never-made pieces re-interpreted into a range of day-to-night dresses, jackets, tops and trousers - many featuring the bold prints the designer was loved for.

Hero pieces will include the ‘Ossie Jacket’ – a cropped bike in a snake print, the ‘Tate’ – slim, tapered trousers with printed side panels, and the ‘Iconic Black Dress’, a classic Ossie maxi dress with capped sleeves and a plunging neckline.

Debuting at 45 Debenhams concessions from 21 January, and with pre-orders already being taken on ossieclarklondon.co.uk, take a look at the collection’s key pieces below, and let us know what you think of Ossie’s latest incarnation @Stylistmagazine.
