Raf Simons for Dior Couture

Belgian designer Raf Simons premiered his first ever collection for the house of Dior during Paris Couture Week today (2 July). Raf, 44 - who was known for his minimalist style at Jil Sander, showed a pared back collection for couture, featuring peplum tops, simple tuxedos and elegant evening dresses, shown in a rather maximalist setting of a mansion with walls covered in flowers. A huge buzz has surrounded the designer since he took over the reigns from John Galliano in April, and after the show was live-streamed on Diormag.com, Raf for Dior and Dior Couture was trending worldwide on twitter.
