Have you got a favourite shoe moment from Sex And The City? There are an awful lot to choose from.

The pair she dons while arriving in Paris to live with The Russian, the fluffy ones that Miranda’s waters break over, the knee high boots which send her skidding across the floor in Dior.

What about when Big gets down on one knee and proposes with blue satin Manolos? We know it’s the film and not the TV series, but still, it’s shoe fantasy gold.

To be perfectly honest, we can’t choose just one. Sarah Jessica Parker however, has no such problem.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the SACT star has revealed her number one shoe moment of all her Carrie Bradshaw days.

And it’s the urban shoe myth.

“I think that was a very funny and clever way of talking about something that is to some, a silly sort of infatuation,” SJP says about the moment Carrie sees a pair of rare Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes in the Vogue fashion closet.

Of course, Parker herself had already had the good fortune of coming across the shoes in real life, long before that scene took place. She borrowed a pair for an event once, and ended up keeping them. Naturally.

But nevertheless she says she really ‘got it’ when Carrie delivers the now much quoted line: “Oh my God, I thought this was an urban myth.”

If you’ve got ideas about Parker living out our Carrie Bradshaw shoe dreams every day since the final scene wrapped though, think again.

Of course she gets to slip her feet into all manners of high heel at fashion parties, and she’s even designing her own line now.

But the actress denies she’s a heel person like Bradshaw.

When asked if she was a heels of flats kind of girl, she simply says; “ I've never considered myself any particular kind of person.”

“In my work, I'm required to wear every shoe of every width, height or shape, color, vintage decade or century. My life dictates that I'm rushing my kids to school in the streets of New York and if it's mid February, I'm a boot person.”

“If I'm running to the market to get groceries and dinner for my family, it's likely that I'm going to be wearing something that can traverse city streets.”
