Screen Actors Guild Awards 2011

The A-listers were out in force last night at the 17th Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in California.

The King’s Speech and Black Swan dominated the ceremony. Colin Firth picked up an award for best actor for his role as King adding another gong to his impressive collection from the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Movie Awards already this year. The odds are looking good for him to win the coveted award of Best Actor at the Oscars. Natalie Portman won best actress for her performance as an unstable ballerina in Black Swan.

And, brilliant Brit actor Christian Bale won Best Supporting Actor for his performance as drug addicted boxer Dicky Eklund in The Fighter.
