Shoe envy guaranteed: Disney Princesses get a high fashion feet makeover

disney shoes.JPG

Forget the glass slippers, our favourite Disney princesses have been re-imagined wearing custom made, high fashion shoes.

From Maleficent rocking a pair of twisted thorn heels inspired by Balenciaga, to Cruella De Ville wearing classic Christian Louboutin black stilettoes accessorised with (you guessed it) dalmatian-print bows, the Disney dames are giving us a major dose of style envy.

Sketched by Normand Lemay and Griselda Sastrawinata-Lemay, a married pair of Walt Disney animators, the images feature kick-ass shoes by designers including Chanel, Chloe and Sophia Webster worn by princesses from Frozen, Pocahontas and many more.

Speaking to Disney, Griselda said, "The inspiration for this series of Disney character-inspired shoes came from daydreaming about Disney Princesses wearing my favorite designer shoes. To me, shoes are a piece of art/sculpture that you wear. When done right, it exudes personality and character."

See below for all of our favourite designs and keep an eye on the pair's Instagram account for more to come.
