Shoes glorious shoes

Cancel all your plans and get your credit cards ready – this weekend, Liberty will be dedicating its store to all things shoes related

Women love shoes, this is nothing new, but this week, high-street shoe favourite Kurt Geiger reported a quadruple increase in women purchasing sky-scraper heels, largely thanks to fans Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry who are often seen tottering about in this season’s must-have styles.

Jumping on the shoe-loving bandwagon, this weekend, Liberty have taken heed of our desires to shop and created a shoe shopping extravaganza in its London store.

Kicking off tonight, acclaimed drag artist Johnny Woo will be teaching you how to dance in heels, how to catwalk in six-inch platforms and how to hail a taxi in stilettos; surely something every woman should know. Meanwhile, Vogue’s editor-at-large Fiona Golfar and adored shoe designer Rupert Sanderson will be talking candidly about Sanderson’s career highlights and his new cruise collection from 2-4pm tomorrow.

With a team of expert podiatrists on hand to whip your feet into party-perfect condition (perfect for Saturday night), it’s time to join the stampedes.
