Farewell, heels: the best new season flats that your feet will love you for

Fans of feet, rejoice!

The flat shoe is finally having a moment, meaning you can swap your torturous heels for a comfy (but cool) pair of flats.

Beautiful pairs of flats are popping in high end designer boutiques and high street retailers all over the country, offering a chic and stylish alternative to heels.

Here we take a look at how to switch the three kinds of heels all women own for a pair of flats, as well as pointing you in the direction of the hottest new styles for the season.

1. The daytime strappy sandal

From high heeled sandals to wedges, we've been wearing a pair of strappy heels almost constantly this summer. Now the weather has turned cooler, switch for a flat sandal, and give a nod to two of Autumn/Winter's biggest trends in cut outs and lace-ups.

2. The evening heel

Think a cocktail dress can only be paired with sky high stilettos? Think again. Indulge in a pair of embellished and bejewelled flats that will look beautiful and leave you able to walk the next day.

We love a good heeled ankle boot for long brunches and weekend shopping excursions, but we're happy to swap them over for these cool flats.
