Tatty Devine has released a Battersea Dogs & Cats collection and it's purrfect

We’re big fans of Tatty Devine (who wouldn’t love a necklace stating ‘I love boring things’ or a bottle of gin pinned to their lapel?) and, as you may have noticed, we’re also big fans of rescue dogs.

So a collaboration between one of our favourite jewellery brands and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home was always going to shoot to the top of our Christmas list. And induce a fit of pun-based headline writing, sorry about that.

Seriously, look at it:

Tatty Devine Battersea Collection

The new collection is a collaboration with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

The new range of necklaces and brooches, all priced at £40 or £45, includes Lurchers, French Bulldogs and Basset Hounds, Persian and Bengal cats, among others.

Co-founders Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine say the partnership was a natural fit as Vine’s cat Betty came from the rescue centre.

Nobody can resist a French Bulldog brooch

The pair have always incorporated animals into their work, and Vine explains: “The personalities came about through the process of drawing them and their characters really came to life as soon as they were sampled.

“Cats and dogs are a classic theme since the beginning of costume jewellery and that’s something we like to explore.”

Wolfenden adds: “They’re just so cute, we’d both love to have a dog but just don’t have the time to be good dog owners, therefore jewellery has always been the next best thing!”

Tatty Devine Cat Mouse Necklace

£3 from each piece is donated to the rescue centre

A £3 donation from each piece will go straight to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, so treating yourself is basically just the right thing to do.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has three centres – the original London branch plus sites in Old Windsor, Berkshire, and Brands Hatch, Kent – and has rehomed millions of cats and dogs since it was founded in 1860.
