“These clothes have made me excited about shopping again”

If you’ve ever stood in front of a bulging wardrobe and thought ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’, you’re not alone. Many of us get stuck in a style rut and with a million other things to think about, it’s easy to let looking good take a back seat. That’s why, with the help of M&S, we’re launching our Welcome Back To You campaign, showing how real women can discover their full style potential.

Here, Executive assistant, Kathryn Knight, 30, tells Stylist how she found her fashion voice with M&S

I’ve never really found my style ‘voice’. but I’ve never really had a specific kind of look. Especially when it comes to my biggest fashion dilemma – daytime outfits. I always end up in jeans and a top, and pulling myself out of that style rut seemed impossible.

But doing this shoot with M&S has really opened my eyes. I would never have tried any of these clothes on – but I love them! Dark blue always reminded me of my a day with m&s experts opened kathryn’s eyes I school uniform, so it’s the one colour I’d avoided, but it looks great. I’m excited about shopping again – it feels like there’s a whole new section of comfortable, cool, flattering fashion that is now open to me. I’m going to Spain at the end of August with my mum and my sister, and I can’t wait to give my holiday wardrobe a huge injection of fun.
